Okay, I have explained the original Villa Hunters concept but how does this relate to this OwnersHQ website?

Well, with a business model like Villa Hunters there are two different audiences to which we must cater, holidaymakers and you, the property owners.

Holidaymakers

Holidaymakers rent properties and are a crucial part of the equation, they are interested in finding suitable holiday rental properties for their breaks and learning about new destinations.

Creating a high quality experience for them to allow discovery of their perfect rental property is one of our core requirements, once this is achieved our job is to provide a safe and secure way for communication between them and you to occur.

What Is Villa Hunters All About?

Villa Hunters is an idea that has been kicking around my head since sometime in 2008 and it’s that project we all have at some point but never get round to doing anything with.

Well, it’s 2014 and progress has been well and truly made, the first stage of my master plan for world domination is pretty much complete and it’s time to kick into the next gear.

The Concept

The original idea for Villa Hunters was to create a new website which overseas home owners could use to advertise their properties for short term holiday rentals.

I guess my first introduction to this market was through my parents, they own a property in Spain which they let out a few weeks each year to help cover the maintenance costs. What Is This Bootstrapping Term All About?

You’ll probably notice that I use the term ‘Bootstrapping’ here and there but what exactly does it refer to?

I’ll start with my first real introduction to the concept and explain it from there…

It must have been back in 2006 or 2007, a time when I really started to get into online marketing more seriously, that I discovered Seth’s Blog.

Seth’s writing resonated with me a lot and when I had free time I would often dig back through his archives, it was on one of these sessions where I stumbled across a link to the Bootstrapper’s Manifesto.
